Disabled Division
The disabled division has been created for athletes who would like to compete in the triathlon, but may need some assistance in doing so. We are going to be having an alternative course, with a 400 m swim, 8 mile bike and 3 mile run. Wheel-chair athletes are welcome! Athletes will be assessed in order to determine the amount of assistance needed to compete safely and successfully. The assessment will also help to determine if the athletes will start at the regular start time, or will be given a head start to ensure their safety on the course. Please contact operations@capitolviewevents.com with any questions or concerns.
Kid's Aquathlon
This is a fun splash and dash targeting children ages 4 – 11. There are no
age divisions. Cycling is not a part of this event.
Swim distanceis 200yards. The run distance is 1 miles. Parents may assist their children.
The event focuses on the success of finishing, rather than competition among the children. Each child receives a finisher medal and a tee shirt.
Relay Division is available in the Sprint and Olympic Triathlon!
Collegiate Division Details
The City of Madison and The University of Wisconsin have grown together to become one of the premiere sports destinations in the nation. The people of Madison have developed a deep pride in Badger Athletics, we all come together to cheer for Bucky. The CVT hopes to continue this tradition by giving Badger athletes the chance to compete with other collegiate athletes from around the Nation. To do this we have created a special Collegiate Division that will pit these athletes against each other to fight for their schools' pride.
