Can I pick up my packet on race day?
No. Packets must be picked up on October 28th, 2011 at the Summit Credit Union Health and Fitness Expo.

What Distance courses are offered?
There will be 10 Kilometer (6.2 mile), Half marathon (13.1 mile), and full marathon (26.2 mile) options to chose from.

Is the Marathon a Boston qualifier?
Yes, the marathon is USATF certified (certification number # WI-10035-DM) through October 2020 and is a Boston Qualifier.

Will there be somewhere to leave my warm pre-race clothes?
There will be a designated clothing drop but the race assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen belongings.

Is there water and aid along the course?
Aid stations will be located approximately every 1-2.5 miles along the course. The aid stations will have water, Powerbar Drink, Ice, Gel, Salt and Porta Potties. Have fun going through the "themed" aid stations! Below is a detailed outline of what will be served at each aid station.

Will there be medical support on the course? What should I do if I need medical help?
We will have ambulances on the course. If you require medical help or need to pull yourself from the race do your best to get to an aid station. Aid stations will have the ability to contact the race’s medical staff to provide you help. If you are unable to make it to an aid station, notify a volunteer, spectator or other runner that you need help and any pertinent medical information.

Will there be Porta-Potties on the course?
Porta-potties will be positioned throughout the course. There will be a large concentration of porta-potties at the start/finish. Please refrain from public urination this is a family friendly event.

Can I walk? What is the cutoff time to finish?
Walking is allowed in all three events. The course will be supported based off a 6 hour finish time. After that point participants will be asked to move to the sidewalks and will be responsible for supporting themselves the rest of the way.

Can I use an Ipod/headphones?
Although we do not encourage their use for safety reasons headphones are allowed in all three races.

What is the weather like?
The average high temperature for October 30th is 58 degrees Fahrenheit which falls into the ideal temperature range recommended for distance running.

Where can I pick up my timing chip, race number and participant shirt?
Packet pickup and the race expo will be held at the Marriot Hotel in Middleton. The expo will be open from 12:00pm-8:00pm. You may have someone else pick up your packet as long as they bring a waiver signed by you and a copy of your picture ID.

Can I give or sell my bib to someone else?
NO. This is strictly prohibited by USA Track and Field.

Can I get a refund if I am not able to participate?
No refunds will be offered under any circumstances including cancellations due to weather, environment and any other unforeseen event.

Can I change from one event to another? How do I do this?
Yes, you may change to a different event if and only if slots remain available. No refunds will be issued if changing to a shorter distance. Upgrading your race distance incurs the following fees: half marathon to marathon $13, 10k to half marathon $28, 10k to Marathon $38. All changes must be done at packet pick-up.

There is a mistake / typo on my entry, how can this be corrected?
This information will be confirmed at packet pick-up. Do not email this information.

Where should I park race day?
There will be a warm clothes drop for your convenience at the Start/Finish area. If you are staying at a local hotel please walk to the race start. If you are local please carpool or arrange to be dropped off if possible. There is a 1500 stall parking ramp available for all participants and family members immeadiately adjacent to the start/finish area. However, with over 10,000 people expected to be in attendance, any effort you can make to reduce congestion is appreciated. Please see the "venue map" for directions on how to access the main parking area.

Will there be somewhere to leave my warm pre-race clothes?
Yes there will be a dry clothes drop area designated in the start area.

Can I wear a Halloween costume?
Please do! There will be cash prizes for the top three overall costumes! Please remember that this is a family friendly event and to keep your costume choices appropriate.

Can I run with my dog or children in a stroller?
We love dogs and children but we ask that they cheer you on as spectators. It is dangerous to them and other participants to be on the course. Additionally we ask that your family or friends do not follow you on a bicycle as this is also dangerous to them and other participants.

How will my time be tracked?
New for 2011 your timing chip will be integrated with your bib number!

Will there be food after the race?
Food and drink will be provided for all racers in the finishing chute. A heated tent will be available for racers only to relax, stretch, and eat after their event. Additionally, several Greenway Station restaurants have graciously donated post-race treats for participating runners and are offering deals for racers and their families on post-race lunch and dinner. Capitol Brewery will provide locally brewed beer for participants over 21 years of age. A beer coupon will be provided in your race packet.

Are there awards to participants?
All finishers will receive a one of a kind finisher medal. Awards will be given to the overall top finishers as well as top finishers in each age group. Age group divisions are segmented in ten year increments.

I won an award, how can I get it?
Awards will be available for pickup adjacent to the finish line as soon as the official results have been posted. Awards wil not be mailed.

Are wheelchairs allowed?
If you are interested in participating in any of the events in a wheelchair please contact the race director. The course is comprised of several sections of non paved trail as well as several curbs that would be potentially challenging to navigate. We would be interested in discussing the details with you.

Can someone pick up my packet for me?
IF AND ONLY IF THEY BRING A WAIVER SIGNEDBY YOU TO PACKET PICK-UP. No one will be issued a packet without presenting a signed waiver. Click here to print waiver.

Can I defer my entry to next year if I can’t race?
No defferals.
